Is your neighbourhood being looked after?

Date published: 03 February 2005

Residents across Rochdale borough can find out all they need to know about how their neighbourhoods are looked after later this month. Rochdale Council's Environmental Management service is hosting roadshows across the borough, so the public can find out more about what they do.

Amongst the jobs Environmental Management are responsible for are street cleansing, waste collection, recycling, parks and cemeteries, as well as looking after all the Council's cars, vans and lorries.

  • Pennines Co-op in Littleborough Monday 14 February 1.00pm - 3.30pm
  • Middleton Shopping Centre Tuesday 15 February 10.00am - 3.00pm
  • Heywood Morrisons Supermarket Wednesday 16 February 10.00am - 3.00pm
  • Rochdale Wheatsheaf Centre Thursday 17 February 10.00am - 3.00pm

Everyone visiting the roadshows will have the chance to quiz managers and staff from Environmental Management about any aspect of the service. So if you want to know how the bin collections are organised, how often your street should be swept, or what's going on at your local park, come along and find out. We also want to find out your views about the services you receive, to enable us to make them better. We want to know where you think we are getting it right, as well as where there are problems. A simple survey will be available to fill in.

For our younger clients there will be fun activities, giveaways and a surprise character!!For more information, please contact Environmental Management on 0845 226 1800, or just turn up at the venue nearest you!
