New private clinic aims to ease NHS pressure with expert care

Date published: 03 September 2024

A brand-new private health clinic has opened its doors, offering a range of top-tier healthcare services that promise to alleviate the burden on the NHS.

Smallbridge Clinic, located on Stevenson Square, brings together highly qualified professionals, state-of-the-art equipment, and a commitment to providing affordable healthcare to the local population.

Founded by Dr Narveshwar Sinha, a Tameside GP and previously a seasoned ENT surgeon and holding a doctorate from the University of Cambridge, with over four decades of medical experience, and his wife, Dr Surabhi Sinha, an experienced GP with a rich background in obstetrics and gynaecology, and Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Smallbridge Clinic is set to become a cornerstone of healthcare in Rochdale.

Both doctors bring their extensive expertise and passion for patient care to this new venture, ensuring that the clinic operates with the highest standards of excellence. “We are incredibly excited to open this clinic and bring our vision of high-quality, accessible healthcare to the people of Smallbridge and beyond,” said Dr Narveshwar Sinha.

“With long NHS waiting lists, we understand how important it is for local residents to have access to timely and effective treatment. That’s why we’ve worked hard to ensure that our fees are affordable, without compromising on the quality of care.”

Comprehensive services under one roof

The Smallbridge Clinic offers an impressive array of services, including private physiotherapy, hearing care (such as microsuction ear wax clearance, hearing tests, and hearing aid fittings), and speech therapy.

One of the clinic’s unique selling points is its comprehensive physiotherapy model, which caters to a wide range of needs – from musculoskeletal and women’s health to sports injuries, paediatric care, and neurodevelopmental therapy.

“Such a model does not exist elsewhere in Greater Manchester,” Dr Sinha remarked. “Having all these specialised services under one roof is something we’re particularly proud of.”

In addition to these services, the clinic boasts consultation rooms available for rental, providing a flexible space for other healthcare professionals to serve the community.

The clinic is also equipped with a fully-fledged operation theatre, ready to offer circumcision services once CQC accreditation is received.

This service will be provided by a qualified GMC-registered paediatric surgeon, addressing a significant gap in Greater Manchester’s healthcare offerings.

Multilingual and expert staff

One of the standout features of the Smallbridge Clinic is its highly qualified and multilingual staff. Even two of the reception staff are medical students who spend some time helping the clinic and provide strategic vision to the progress of the clinic. The staff also ensures that every member of the team understands the needs of the patient.

“We have negotiated with the best and most qualified professionals to work in this clinic,” Dr Sinha emphasised. “Our strategic direction will make this a centre of excellence in weeks to come.”

The clinic is also preparing to offer travel immunisation services, supervised by their executive, Liza Ahmed, to make travel healthcare more accessible to Rochdale residents.

Sushant, another executive with years of retail experience, will spearhead the clinic’s promotional efforts in the area.

Dr Sinha also expressed his gratitude to Imaan and Uneeb, who have been instrumental in the clinic’s social marketing campaign. “I am grateful for their help in making this project a reality.

Their innovative ideas have been an integral part of our journey,” he said.

The NHS and other private organisations may contact the clinic through the website to seek space if they wish move in some services to the clinic. Occupational health and insurance organisations may also wish to sub-contract their physiotherapy services for patients living in Rochdale, Bury, Oldham, Heywood and Middleton areas, to the clinic.

With its combination of expert care, cutting-edge facilities, and a deep understanding of the local community’s needs, Smallbridge Clinic is poised to become a vital resource for residents of Rochdale and the surrounding areas.

As the clinic continues to grow and evolve, it promises to offer even more services, all aimed at improving the health and well-being of the local population.
