Dale-Con returns to Rochdale for 2024 - taking place at the Crown Oil Arena
Rochdale Comic-Con returns to the Crown Oil Arena in March and organisers are pulling out all the stops this year to bring geek back to the Dale.
Optimus Prime and BumbleBee – giant 8-foot-tall robot characters – will be at the event along with a massive baby T-Rex accompanied by his dino handlers and of course Dr John Hammond in his jeep.
Dale-Con will be held at the Crown Oil Arena in Rochdale on Easter Saturday 30 March and tickets are available now at www.dale-con.co.uk
This year’s features to check out will include singing Disney princesses for a singalong to your favourite movie songs as well as lots of photos and princess hugs. Spiderman and the Star Wars teams will also be there, and on display will be life-sized rooms from some of your favourite shows; the Stranger Things Grandfather Clock room from season 4, Harry Potter's Platform 9¾ as well as the iconic Iron Throne from Game of Thrones.
Throwing in some giant Pokemon and a massive collection of both villain and hero swords and more in the Wall of Weaponry there's so much going on at the Crown Oil Arena this year.
On top of the characters and the scenes, you'll get to meet some of your favourite actors too; Andrew Lawden, who made his name in Star Wars: Phantom Menace, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this May will be there and he'll also be holding his ever-popular Jedi Fight Academy.
Joining Andrew is CBBC's Raven aka James Mackenzie, known to many younger fans as Molly's Dad in the Cbeebies series Molly & Mack. There will be another couple of guests announced in the next week too.
Saturday 30 March is sure to be a fun day out for all sci-fi, movie and cartoon fans alike up at Rochdale's home of football and rugby - the fun kicks off from 10am and tickets are available at www.dale-con.co.uk
