Hop into an Egg-cellent Augmented Reality Easter Egg Hunt with the LoyalFree App

There are lots of egg-citing things to do in Rochdale town centre this Easter, including an Easter Egg Hunt like no other, running from 31 March to 16 April.
Rochdale BID has partnered with the LoyalFree App to launch a free family-friendly trail – set to revolutionise the traditional Easter Egg Hunt with the use of augmented reality technology.
It’s a family-friendly experience that’s sure to delight people of all ages.
Participants can explore the Rochdale Town Centre area to hunt for ‘eggstra-ordinary’ Easter eggs hidden at various locations.
By simply finding the posters and scanning the AR markers using their smartphone camera, participants can witness an Easter egg appearing right before their eyes!
Complete the trail by finding all of the eggs and scanning each marker by 16 April to be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win an incredible prize of a £50 voucher to spend at The Works.
All participants are encouraged to share photos of their Easter adventure on social media using the hashtag #LFEGGHUNT. It’s a great way to show off your egg-hunting skills and connect with other participants in the area.
LoyalFree’s Partnerships Manager, Sophie Carrick said: “We are thrilled to bring a unique and exciting Easter Egg Hunt experience to Rochdale Town Centre.
“With augmented reality technology, we’re taking the traditional Easter Egg Hunt to a whole new level, creating an eggstra-special adventure for all ages to enjoy!”

Participating in the trail is easy: download the LoyalFree App for free and head to the trails section for more information.
Over the first week of Easter (3-6 April), there will be a pop-up garden at Riverside Walk, bursting with free family activities including face painting.
Special guests Mario and Luigi will also be present in a rare day off from saving the world – and the Mushroom Kingdom – from Bowser, coinciding with the release of the new Super Mario Bros. movie out on 5 April.
With something for everyone, the ever-popular Riverside Artisan Market returns on 8 April, with a host of the north west’s very best hand-crafted food products and unique treasures for all the family.
Finally, two of the most beloved children’s characters from classic literature will be visiting Riverside Walk on 15 April: both Lewis Carroll’s Alice and the white rabbit are looking forward to having their photos taken with local children.
