Bowlee car boot sale is back
Date published: 06 May 2016
Bowlee Car Boot Sale & Collectors’ Market runs every Sunday until the end of July
Bowlee Car Boot Sale & Collectors’ Market – one of the most popular in Greater Manchester – has returned for its seventh year, with organisers promising the hugely popular event will be better than ever.
The 2016 season at Bowlee Community Park in Middleton runs every Sunday until the end of July. On the next Bank Holiday weekend in May the event will be held on the Monday 30. As always there’s no need to book, just turn up, and the events run from 7am to 1.30pm.
Councillor Jacqui Beswick, Rochdale Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for the Environment, said it’s a trusted event, run by the council: “I am pleased to see these popular events have returned to Bowlee Community Park.
"As always we do all the right checks so you know you're buying and selling in a legal, safe environment.
"Last year once again the crowds were fantastic and we are looking forward to another busy season.
"If it’s time for a de-clutter you can easily offload your unwanted possessions in exchange for cash, or explore and bag yourself a bargain. There will be a huge range of goods available.”
Prices for selling have been frozen for another year - £13 for cars, £16 for small vans/people carriers/4X4s and £22 for large vans and above.
For buyers, there are spaces for over 1,200 cars in Bowlee Park at £2 per vehicle.
