Obituary: Beryl Kilpatrick

Date published: 05 April 2024

Beryl Kilpatrick (née Bamford of Wardle) on 17th March 2024.

Sadly and very unexpectedly, we announce the peaceful passing of Beryl, our beloved Mum, Nana and Auntie.

An inspirational and fun-loving friend to so very many, Beryl had devoted her life to and drawn her well-being from the arts. In particular, she always became a respected and often integral part of the myriad musical and choral organisations of which she chose to become a member or simply visited. Hers was such a good, hugely independent and well lived life, supported by her Christian beliefs.

Remembered with love, cherished always.

Ever efficient, Mum had requested and planned the structure of a celebratory Evensong service, encouraging all to attend. This is being held at St Chad’s Parish Church, Rochdale on Wednesday 12 June at 7pm – all are very welcome.

Separately, it is likely that a musical celebration will also be held in Rochdale for Beryl at a later date with these details to follow.

Beryl was a keen supporter of the Red Cross and the Salvation Army and we would be delighted if you wished to organise a kind donation to one of these charities.
