In what she hopes to become an annual event, Julie Bowmer, assisted by daughter Katie, raised £5,190 for Springhill Hospice at a charity hog roast and garden party.
Guests were treated to Prosecco on arrival, a thirteen piece jazz band, hog roast, free bar and reggae band Jeremiah Ferrari to dance the night away under a big marquee.
Julie, owner of Rochdale based accountancy firm TBD Associates Ltd, said: “As the company was recently given the honour of becoming a Springhill Business Buddy, I really wanted to do something to show how committed we are to helping our local charity”.
The Garden Party had some auction prizes including a dining experience for 10 people with private chef in the winner's own home and corporate hospitality at Manchester City.
Elaine McConnell, Regular Giving Co-ordinator at Springhill Hospice, attended the event and described it and the money raised as "amazing".
