Louise Salisbury joins AST Hampsons

Date published: 12 June 2014

Louise Salisbury has joined Quality Solicitors AST Hampsons after spending much of her career working at Molesworth Bright Clegg Solicitors.

Louise said: “I worked at Molesworth’s for a long time and it was a hard decision to make but sometimes you need to make those decisions for your career. This opportunity came up and it seemed like a good thing to do.”

Louise has been a qualified solicitor for 32 years and spent 17 of those years working in Rochdale and Littleborough. As part of the AST Hampsons team, Louise will be working in Rochdale and Bury.

Louise decided on a career in law after a family friend inspired her. She added: “We had a family friend who was a well known solicitor and judge.

"I was mad on horses and dogs when I was younger and when I told my dad I wanted a horse, he said I would need to get a good job like a solicitor to get one.

"It is a bit of a strange story but it was definitely the family friend that inspired me.”

Louise, who is from Heywood, is also a mum to three children. She took a break from her job after the birth of her first child and then decided to work part time. Once her children got older she decided to go back to work full time.

“I knew the partners at AST Hampsons before taking the job and I know that they are a good company to work for so it really was a good opportunity to take,” said Louise.

Louise was also the president of the Rochdale Law Association from 2011 until 2012.

Louise works in the wills and probate department and deals with issues regarding wills, power of attorney and trusts and now plans to stay at AST Hampsons for the foreseeable future.

She added: “I hope to be here until I retire now.”

AST Hampsons is part of a national network of law firms dedicated to providing the very best of legal advice. The firm currently has two offices located in Rochdale town centre.
