Recruitment Solutions celebrate tenth birthday

Date published: 24 May 2014

Recruitment Solutions North West celebrated their tenth birthday yesterday (23 May).

Guests arrived at The Baum for a drinks reception followed by lunch. Staff were joined by Simon Danczuk MP and the Mayor of Rochdale Peter Rush.

Directors Gavin Reynolds and Karen Reynolds - nephew and aunt - were on hand to give a warm welcome to guests.

Sheila McQuillam, Senior Candidate Resourcer, formally welcomed guests saying: “Welcome everyone to our celebration this afternoon. This is an informal party to congratulate us on cracking 10 years and let’s crack another 10.”

Mayor Peter Rush said: “It is a pleasure as a local lad to witness a local company, run by a family I know, bringing a decade of business to our town.

“The town has now got a legacy of bringing apprentices back and it’s important to continue to work together to keep everything moving forwards. I am truly proud to say that the Reynolds family have grown this business in Rochdale and all the best for the future.”

Gavin Reynolds said: “It’s great to acknowledge and celebrate this landmark for Recruitment Solutions. This past 10 years has so much credibility especially having started up when we did and working through a recession. I’m grateful to the massive team behind us and all the support we’ve had over the years. I believe we are a valued part of the local community.”

Jenny Millar and her mum Elaine Millar were guests at the party. Elaine was Karen and Gavin’s first employee 10 years ago and now her daughter Jenny is a Trainee Recruitment Consultant at the company.

Karen Reynolds said: “Elaine was such an enormous help when we first started off. I can honestly say if she hadn’t been there at that time we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

Elaine commented: “I loved my time working with them. It was all so interesting to be part of because it was small to begin with so each new candidate and client was an added excitement.”

Jenny continued: “I joined because I knew how good the company was and my mum had always recommended them. Karen is so good at running a business. I couldn’t wait to join the team.”

Simon Danzcuk MP said: “Entrepreneurism creates success. You are serving the public, customer and the people you employ. I know how difficult it is building and developing a company and it’s a great benefit for our town that you decided to do it all here.”

The company sponsors Rochdale Cricket Club and have been sponsors at Mayfield in the past. They are strong supporters of the Hospice and several other charities.
