Sports Direct open new store in Rochdale

Sports Direct is opening a new store in the Kingsway Shopping Centre in Rochdale, on 14 May, creating 40 new casual jobs. Founded in 1982, the company is now the UK's largest sporting retailer with over 400 stores nationwide.

This store will showcase the latest brands and will also include expert areas such as “She Runs He Runs” which specialises in all running needs, Field & Trek which is the specialist outdoor area, Soccer Scene for football lovers and European Golf with a full range of clubs and golfing accessories.

There will be a host of opening offers at the new store, including £1 Sondico footballs, 10% off footwear, Buy One Get One Free on Slazenger polo shirts and t-shirts, and a free bag for life on a £20 or over spend.

A spokesperson for Sports Direct said: "We are delighted to be opening our new store in Rochdale. As our company continues to grow throughout the UK, our ethos has never changed in that we offer our customers the biggest brands in all types of sportswear, footwear and sports equipment at low prices.”
