Date published: 26 February 2014

Quat-Chem Ltd, a Rochdale based chemical company specialising in preventive hygiene technologies and the manufacture of biocidal raw materials and disinfectants, saw significant growth throughout 2013 and has recently secured a major corporate deal, and an increase in international distributors, allowing the business to increase turnover substantially.

Established in 1996, Quat-Chem now trade in over 78 countries across the world.

Since the move to new premises, Quat-Chem has been very successful with the development and launch of their carefully designed formulated hygiene products for the dairy, poultry, food and beverage, healthcare and industrial industries.

Business Development Manager Arthur Todd says, “2013 was a successful year for us as we’ve continued to develop and implement our strategy. Driven by our dedication to meeting customer needs and our further investments in the future we are confident 2014 will further increase export revenue.”

After successfully entering the Vietnamese marketplace in 2012, Quat-Chem is now focused on South and Central America.

Mr Todd added: “At the end of January we did our first exhibit at the IPPE in the USA which is one of the largest international meat, poultry and food processing exhibitions.

"We had some extremely promising meetings and we are very optimistic about the positive results we are seeing from exhibiting. We plan to attend other trade shows and exhibit again later in the year.”
