Mr and Mrs event ends Valentines weekend on a high

Date published: 16 February 2014

A Mr and Mrs event held at The Rhyddings Suite of The Royal Toby last night (Saturday 15 February) ended Valentines weekend at The Royal Toby.

The event, which included a three-course meal, Valentines disco and the Mr and Mrs game was attended by 45 people.

DJ Leyroy Lurve provided entertainment at the event with cash prizes on offer during the Mr and Mrs game.

Steven Rogers and Natalie Beswick attended the event to commemorate their first date, which was held at the Fallen Angels. Natalie said: “We had out first date next door so thought it would be nice to come back for Valentines.”

Also revisiting a special place were newlyweds Mr and Mrs Mudd. The couple got married in the venue last November. Mrs Mudd said: “We thought it would be nice to come back somewhere that is special to us.”

Mr and Mrs Seymour decided to take part in the event to do something different. Mrs Seymour said: “It is something different to do and we thought it would be a bit of fun.”

As well as the Mr and Mrs event, The Royal Toby has seen an increase in people visiting the venue for Valentines Day. Richard Stansfield, Sales and Marketing Executive of The Deckers Group, which owns the Royal Toby, said: “In our restaurant, we had 211 people yesterday which is up from 160 last year. It just shows that Valentines is becoming a busy time of year and with it being on a Friday this year, a lot of people seemed to have made a weekend out of it.”
