Date published: 01 October 2013

Based in Heywood, GJD Manufacturing designs, manufactures and supplies professional external detector equipment as well as CCTV and lighting controllers to the intruder surveillance industry.

Managing Director, Mark Tibbenham has taken the business forward and seen the company grow into a multi-million pound global market leading business.

Commenting on the longevity of the company Mark said: “Our strong and continuous growth pattern results from an ardent philosophy of producing consistently reliable equipment coupled with a dedication to after-sales support.

"By listening to, and working closely with our customers, we are able to continuously refine and evolve our products and quality systems”.

GJD has also expanded through acquisition. In 2012 GJD acquired a controlling share of Advanced LED Technology Ltd, based in Newcastle.

Advanced LED Technology designs, develops and manufactures a comprehensive range of infrared and white light LED illuminators predominantly used for the professional CCTV sector.

In recent months GJD has partnered four other UK based electronic security manufacturers to form an alliance.

Harmony Alliance, as the new collaboration is called, brings together specialists to offer customers innovative security solutions and integration technology.

Mark explains: “Through co-operative product developments, distribution partnerships and an open arms approach to service, we are working to improve the customer experience for installers and end users around the world”.

The future is bright for GJD Manufacturing, as they look forward to, and embrace the technological advances and innovations of the next 30 years.
