A pioneering sustainability centre in Rochdale has been handed a prestigious industry award for the innovative way that it has been marketed to tradespeople and the local community.
Howarth Timber & Building Supplies introduced the new GreenHouse sustainability centre to its Milnrow Road branch last year and it has become a vital resource for sustainable products, knowledge and training for customers and local residents alike.
The centre was recognised by leading industry title Timber Trades Journal at an awards ceremony in London recently for the marketing campaign which underpinned the launch, which embraced traditional print media, online, newsletters and in-store initiatives.
The Howarth GreenHouse represents significant and on-going investment by the Howarth Timber Group in the Rochdale area and its sustainability drive as a whole.
Neale Brewster, marketing and product development manager at Howarth, said: “We are delighted that the GreenHouse has won this award for the innovative way that the centre has been marketed to both tradespeople and local residents in the town.
“At Howarth we take pride in supporting, and investing in, the local area and are proud that our work in Rochdale has been acknowledged in this way.”
