Rochdale business named finalist in national awards

Date published: 05 August 2013

A Rochdale businessman has been left “stunned and amazed” after his company has been named as finalists in three categories in a major national awards.

Phil Ewbank, who owns and manages Fix Auto Rochdale vehicle repair centre on Eagle Technology Park off Queensway, has cause to celebrate after his business was listed in the Bodyshop Magazine Small Bodyshop of the Year, Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop of the Year and Best Supporting Role categories.

A delighted Mr Ewbank, who is also Chairman of the Rochdale Development Agency, a member of the Rochdale Borough Branding Committee and the Rochdale Ambassador Scheme, said: “To be nominated as a finalist for one category is a major achievement, but to be named in three is simply incredible.

“With over 3,000 bodyshops in the UK, our industry is highly competitive. Putting this achievement into perspective, I know the organisers will have received several hundred entrants per category, being named in the final three for each is fabulous.”

He added: “While I had high hopes of being named as a finalist in one category, I’m obviously stunned and amazed at being named in three. Again, this success is yet another testament to the service and dedication of all involved here at Fix Auto Rochdale.”

The Bodyshop Magazine Awards winners will be announced during a glitzy ceremony held at the prestigious Metropole Hotel in Birmingham next month.
