Rochdale boutique named as one of most inspiring independents in the country

Date published: 17 February 2012

A Rochdale boutique has been ranked as one of the most inspiring independent fashion shops in the country, by judges at Britain’s largest trade fashion fair.

25Ten, based on Yorkshire Street, was named 11th in the UK’s ‘Inspiring Indies’ list compiled by Drapers, for industry trade show Pure London.

It made the Rochdale boutique the highest ranked young fashion independent in the UK and the highest riser on the list, up 30 places from last year’s position.

The list was unveiled at an exclusive party at Kensington Roof Gardens, London, after judges from Pure London Show and Drapers shortlisted their annual top 100 inspirational independents. Independents from all over the UK then voted for their peers for a variety of reasons, from standout product to excellent customer service to best-in-class multi-channel strategies.

The owners of 25Ten received a special mention for their passion for fashion and for championing their hometown of Rochdale.

25Ten owner Paul Turner Mitchell said the boutique’s rapid rise up the list was testament to the great progress they had made this year.

“We’re always aware that people have a choice of where to spend their money,” he said, “And we’ve worked really hard to provide the best customer service and give people an excellent choice of clothes that they simply won’t find anywhere else on the high street.

“I’m really pleased that people are coming to Rochdale from all over Greater Manchester and beyond to visit the boutique to experience 25-Ten for themselves.”
