AST Hampsons Solicitors has announced the promotion of Joanne Ford to partner, recognising her significant contributions to the firm since joining in 2016. Joanne, who is based in Rochdale, has played a crucial role in developing the Court of Protection Department and now leads the team.
Specialising in Court of Protection matters, Ford works with both lay and professional deputies, assisting with applications to the Court and acting as a Court-appointed deputy herself.
Her expertise includes making applications to appoint deputies, securing authority for specific issues such as the sale or purchase of property, and advising deputies on their legal authority in managing the affairs of vulnerable individuals.
Louise Salisbury, head of private client at AST Hampsons, said: "Joanne’s dedication and specialist knowledge of Court of Protection and Mental Capacity law have been invaluable to AST Hampsons' growth.
"Her commitment to building the department has been exceptional, and we are thrilled to welcome her as a salaried partner. This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to the firm and to providing the best support for vulnerable clients."
Reflecting on her appointment, Joanne said: "I am incredibly proud to have been part of AST Hampsons for the past nine years. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented and supportive team.
"I am particularly proud of our work and to be able to support many different clients and their families through what can be a difficult and emotional time."
AST Hampsons, which has offices in Rochdale and Bury, continues to expand its expertise in private client work, with Ford’s promotion further strengthening the firm’s commitment to delivering high-quality legal services for the local community.
