Bassi Properties purchase Aldi store site

Bassi Properties, part of the Bassi Group, Nottingham,has purchased the Aldi store site on Entwisle Road, Rochdale.
The store, which opened in 2014, was recently sold to Bassi Properties for £3.7million.
Avinash Bassi, CEO, said: “The acquisition of this property has allowed my company to expand its investments into the retail sector along with its existing office blocks and industrial units.”
Rohan Bassi, director, said: “We looked to Rochdale for our investment as a major market town, with its rich history, and rapidly changing centre. It represents a really solid investment in a difficult market. Opportunities such as this one are highly sought after and we’re delighted to have been successful here.”
An Aldi spokesperson said: “We are aware that the site of the Aldi store in Rochdale has been sold, although this will have no impact on our store.”
