Quat-Chem was shortlisted for three awards in this year’s Chemical Industry Awards alongside some of the industry’s largest multinationals.
The Chemical Industries Association (CIA); the largest industry sector organisation represents chemical and pharmaceutical businesses across the UK.
The annual awards ceremony held on Thursday took place in the heart of Liverpool’s St George’s Quarter in St George’s Hall, considered to be one of the finest examples of a neoclassical style building in the world. The event was hosted by BBC Business Correspondent, Steph McGovern.
Dr Rubinah Chowdhary, Scientific Director at Quat-Chem, said: “It was a pleasure to celebrate the successes of the UK chemical industry alongside our peers. Whilst we were unsuccessful in winning an award, we are extremely proud to have our name and work recognised alongside multinationals like FMC Chemicals, BASF plc and GlaxoSmithKline.”
