Lindsey Britland elected vice-president of Rochdale Law Association

Date published: 28 June 2016

Lindsey Britland has been elected vice-president of Rochdale Law Association.

Ms Britland, 40, is a partner at Waldron & Schofield in Heywood and specialises in family law and personal injury cases.

She said: “The Rochdale Law Association has important links to The Law Society of England and Wales and is a group of solicitors who live or work in the Rochdale area.

“It provides a voice for members on important legal issues and a forum to discuss common issues.

“We will work hard to forge and strengthen links with the local community and schools.

“We have a working partnership with the Rochdale Sixth Form College, where we are providing work experience this summer for six students.

“I will assist the president to further our initiatives, organise events, voice members’ concerns with government and other legal bodies, attend legal forums and chair meetings.”

Ms Britland, who was born in Rochdale and lives in Heywood, will take over from current president, Richard Mason, of Molesworths Bright Clegg in Rochdale, in 2017.

She joined Waldron & Schofield in 1997 on work experience, becoming a trainee three years later.

Waldron & Schofield are part of the McHale & Co group of solicitors and also have offices in Altrincham and Stretford.
