Tanya Hemphill appointed growth start-up manager of Business Growth Hub

Date published: 05 April 2016

Tanya Hemphill has been appointed as the Growth Start-Up Manager of the Business Growth Hub.

Ms Hemphill has previously worked in senior roles in communications and digital marketing, which most recently includes three years as Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Public Relations at the University of Chester, where she worked with business owners on knowledge transfer projects.

In her new position of Growth Start-Up Manager at the Business Growth Hub she will manage a team of business start-up advisors and deliver the Hub’s Growth Start-Up Support Programme to help Greater Manchester based entrepreneurs set up and grow their own businesses.

Ms Hemphill said: “Growing a business from an initial idea into a successful company is extremely challenging and, while entrepreneurial edge and innovation is abundant in Greater Manchester, individuals sometimes find they are unable to realise their ambitions without guidance from people that have been in their shoes. The Hubhas a strong history of providing entrepreneurs with the support they need to turn ideas into successful businesses, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of that process.”

Richard Jeffery, Director of the Business Growth Hub, said: “Our programme has been developed as a response to the growing demand for start-up business support. We’re thrilled that Tanya has come on board, her experience and knowledge in helping organisations engage customers with a clear return on investment is a fantastic asset and we look forward to seeing how the programme develops.”
