Heywood Model Railway Group Open Day

14 June 2025

Saturday 14 June 2025
10am - 4pm

Unit 4 Park Works
River Street
Heywood
OL10 4AB

Details:

Do you have locos and stock but not enough space to run them? Why not come along to one of our open days where you can stretch the legs of your locos by running them on one of our layouts?

We can accommodate stock in either N, 00, 0 or G gauges on our large continuous run layouts. With all gauges you can bring either analogue or DCC fitted locos and stock where we have tracks that can be switched to suit the type of loco you want to run.

If you don't have stock to bring and run then why not come along anyway and have a look at our premises and our model layouts and get inspiration for you own models. You can always run some of the club stock on the various layouts if you feel like having a go.

We now have a working Hornby Dublo 3 rail layout running, so if that is your era then come along and if you have any stock from that period then why not give it a run on the layout?

There will be tea, coffee, soft drinks and sandwiches available during the day at very reasonable prices from our kitchen dining area.

Admission is free but any donations you care to make to the club funds will be most welcome.
