Rochdale town centre

Details:

The town's history and culture is being celebrated with a Heritage Trail of interactive events and activities on the weekend of 7th and 8th September, taking audiences on a tour of hidden gems and historical tales.

Rochdale Development Agency will bring together a broad range of community organisations and historical venues from across the town centre to create a heritage trail of unusual and interesting small events and activities and hidden gems created by and suitable for all ages and backgrounds.

The trail starts at Rochdale Train Station, telling stories of people and places and how cultures have woven together over the years. The trail will then lead us down Drake Street, across the town centre, including the magnificent gothic Town Hall.

The route will incorporate a number of key heritage sites and visitor attractions along the way and will take you up to the Pioneer's Museum and their pop-up temperance bar and The Baum public house for some of their locally brewed ale and then to St Mary's of The Baum Church.

The full guide is available to download here.
