Meet on Dell Road at the junction with Woodland Road,near the bollards. This is about half a mile from the Healey Hotel, park on Dell Road.

Walk distance = 5 miles.

This is our annual Memorial Walk.  The walk will begin with time to remember past members and their contribution to our group and be followed by a pleasant walk through the valley of the River Spodden, or the Spod as it is known locally with the emphasis on the industrial history of the area

Please note, that due to the popularity of these walks, car sharing whenever possible would reduce parking congestion.

Advise: Walking Boots, Waterproofs if needed, adequate clothing, snack and drink.

Generally dogs are not permitted, with exception of Registered Assistance Dogs, but anyone wishing to bring a dog should contact the Walk Leader in advance to obtain His/Her consent or otherwise.
