Following the massive success of Scarefest at Halloween, Historic Cheapside are proud to present Christmas At Lodge Mill and will be offering a five day fair selling locally made crafts and foods, free Santa's grotto, the Gifting Tree returns and we are also adding a Memory Tree this year.

For the first time ever in Middleton there will be an ice rink for the five days over the last weekend before Christmas with tickets only £10 for an hour long session - places can be booked in advance.

The Gifting Tree will again be asking for you to buy an extra gift this year, wrap it up and bring it down to the Engine House at Lodge Mill (telling the staff who the present would suit so they can label it correctly) and these will be donated to vulnerable people and families across the borough. The Memory Tree will host tags bearing the names of those who will not be with us this Christmas that we would like to remember. You can bring your own tag to put on the tree or we will provide one for you.

Free Santa's Grotto for all with the chance to talk to Santa and get a picture with him (taken by parent / guardian) with a candy cane treat for all who visit Santa.

Hot food and drinks, including alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase in the Engine House, with the speciality Christmas ice creams also return from the Ice Cream Shop at Lodge which feature Baileys, prosecco, mince pie, Christmas pudding, sprout again (it's really mint but the label will fool the kids and stop them from stealing your ice cream) along with the rest of the Christmas dinner ice cream flavours including carrot, mash and turkey!

Entry fee: Free entry apart from the Ice Rink which costs £10 for one hour session
