Details:
A service of remembrance to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War One (WWI) and forgotten wars since 1945.
Whilst members of the public are welcome and indeed encouraged to attend this event, it will be a private event arranged by H/L V A, AVA, RAOC and RLC.
Heywood Township, supported by our Armed Forces Covenant Partners and the Lancashire Veterans Association will commemorate the World War I centenary with a new memorial to “Veterans and Forgotten Wars” by updating current memorials in Heywood.
This will complete the memorial gardens in Heywood and acknowledge and honour everyone in our Armed Forces and all who have served in Britain’s so called small, forgotten and dirty wars, of which veterans are yet to be acknowledge by the nation.
