Cricket: Martin sends Norden spinning to defeat

Date published: 04 June 2018

A career best return of seven for three by Paddy Martin sent Norden spinning to defeat at Lowerhouse on Sunday.

Norden looked on course for victory when on 80 for three chasing 132, but Josh Tolley was given out stumped for 50, and the innings took a downward slide.

Some of the Norden batsmen were not happy with the decisions against them, but out they had to go and the end total was 97.

Norden had earlier seen Lowerhouse on 76 for seven, but a 42 from Chris Cottam helped his side up to 131.

Jake Sandham and Chris Humphreys each took four wickets.
