David Langley from Newlands Primary School has received a Childer Award from the President of Middleton Rotary Club, Jeff Lawton.
David, a Year 6 pupil, was nominated by staff at the school in recognition of his contribution to school life.
Deborah Rogers, Headteacher at Newlands said: "David has been with us for a year and in that time has made great progress and is a delightful young man."
