Sandro Loureiro, also in Year 7 for his efforts in the high jump.
The Lupaka brothers in year 8 received gold in the triple jump and long jump. Natalie Lloyd was 1st in the 200m with and Naomi Moluku came 1st in the triple Jump.
St Cuthbert’s swept the board, achieving 1st place for both the Overall boys and the Overall girls.
Congratulations to all students who contributed to our outstanding results.
Expressive Arts News
Pupils past and present starred in Congress Players' production of 'Les Miserables ' at the Oldham Coliseum last week.
Past pupils took two of the main roles: Tom Shiels playing the roguish Thenardier (a role he first performed at St Cuthbert's) and Phoebe Coop in fine form in the role of Eponine. Coral Bradley, now studying Musical Theatre at Pendleton College, also made a marvellous Lovely Lady. Georgia Taylor from Yr 11 took on the role of Cosette.
Georgia played Young Cosette as a Yr 7 pupil in the school's production of the same musical. Benji Hartnell-Booth (Yr11) and Joe Maloney (Yr10) also performed as chorus/students in the ABC café.
Tom Shiels has secured a place at Mountview Drama School in London. The Expressive Arts Faculty are extremely proud to see pupils progress and develop careers in the Arts.
