Pupils at Meanwood Careers Fair speaking to Rochdale Online Journalist, Amy Westlake
Meanwood Primary School held a careers fair on Friday (2 May) to give pupils from Year 4 the opportunity to question people about their jobs.
Your reporter was invited along to take part in the event along with a plumber, a teacher, a teaching assistant, a school business manager, police PCSOs, a chef, a fitness instructor, a community artist, a shop assistant, a hairdresser and a drama therapist.
In groups of five, pupils moved around the room and questioned each person regarding their job. Questions included:
- Do you like your job?
- Why did you choose your job?
- Do you earn enough money to live on?
- What is your favourite part of your job?
Children involved enjoyed the event with many of them saying they found it interesting speaking to people and finding out about different jobs.
