The Rotary Club of Middleton has presented almost £5,000 to a variety of community groups and organisations who applied to their Dragon’s Den initiative.
Groups had been encouraged to get in touch and apply for cash for their projects and on Monday (6 February) the money was handed over.
The Club raised the money through their annual Christmas Float and a collection event at Sainsbury’s at Heaton Park.
Club President John Brooker said that the number of people who applied for donations exceeded all expectations and the club took the decision to make donations to all of the groups that applied.
