A visit to the recent Live Life healthy living show proved extra special for pupils from Redwood Secondary School in Rochdale.
Over 1300 people from across the borough attended the annual event at the town hall staged in partnership with Rochdale Borough Council and NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale. Everyone who registered was included in a free prize draw.
This week Jane Rossini, Director of Public Health, visited the school to present the prize:
The children were presented with a Wii Sports and console and were clearly delighted with their win!
Samantha Doggett, Key Stage 4 Learning Mentor said everyone had enjoyed their visit:“We encourage all our young people to be healthy and they were all amazed to see such a lot going on at Live Life. They certainly had a fun afternoon and picked up some good ideas … to win this prize was fantastic, and we can’t wait to use it!”
