Date published: 04 October 2010
The winner of Rochdale’s Got Talent and one of the competition’s semi finalists have been asked to sing at Rochdale’s Christmas lights switch on in November.
Ellysse Mason was named Rochdale’s most talented at the competition final held at the Broadfield Hotel in May this year.
Courtney Cecere, made it to the final ten contestants and like Ellysse is delighted to be singing at the switch on.
Ellysse said: “I am really excited to sing at the switch on, I am writing some new songs for it, probably two or three.
“I am really glad I am going to get to sing there because I know there were thousands there last year – I am really nervous too!”
Ellysse’s mum, Emma Travis said: “It’s great news that she is singing at the Christmas lights turn on. I don't know who's more excited, me or her.”
The Rochdale Christmas lights switch on will take place on Thursday 18 November.
