Cooking celebrity Gino D’Acampo will be one of the chefs at the Rochdale Feel Good Festival in August. The popular Italian chef will be appearing in the festival's celebrity kitchen on Saturday 14 August.
Gino will be familiar to television viewers from shows like ‘Saturday Kitchen’, ‘Ready Steady Cook’, ‘Daily Cooks Challenge’ and the celebrity food contest ‘Soapstar, Superchef’. He also presents the ‘One Stop Food’ feature on ITV1’s flagship ‘This Morning’.
Away from the cameras Gino has worked as head chef at two prestigious London restaurants. He develops recipes for Tesco’s ‘finest’ range and also runs his own food company.
His flamboyant personality and cookery skills have made him hugely popular, and last year he was crowned King of the Jungle on ITV's hit series, ‘I'm A Celebrity - Get Me Out Of Here!’ Viewers took him to their hearts, voting him the winner by a large margin.
Gino will be demonstrating his cooking skills in the food tent at the festival on Saturday 14 August. He’ll also be meeting fans and signing autographs.
The Rochdale Feel Good Festival now in its third year, will include warm up events in both Middleton and Heywood, prior to the free main attractions in Rochdale town centre on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August.
Debbie O’Brien, Event Manager said: “Gino D’Acampo is one of the most popular chefs in the country, so I’m delighted he’s coming to Rochdale for the Feel Good Festival to share his expertise and tasty recipes. He’s great fun to watch and I’m sure he’ll be a popular attraction in our celebrity food kitchen on the Saturday.”
More star guests and artists will be announced later this month. The festival will include live music across indoor venues, a big outdoor stage and a two day food market.
