Caretaker's little helper gets award

Kyle helps the caretaker every lunchtime

An unusual little boy who gives up his lunch hour to help the caretaker clean up has been given an exciting award.

Young Kyle Wicock, nine, from St Michaels CoE Primary School, Bamford, has never been asked to help out but has been doing so every day for two years.

A Childer presentation was made at his school by Middleton Rotary Club on Friday (15 May).

Past President Jim Kenyon was delighted to presents Kyle Wicock with the award. He said: “He is such a cheerful and helpful boy, who gives up 20 minutes of his lunchtime helping the caretaker tidy the hall after all the other children have finished their lunches.”
