The Mayor Councillor Peter Evans plants a tree
Sunday 25 November saw the official launch of the Friends of Hollingworth Lake Group with the Mayor and Mayoress Peter and Helen Evans and Councillors Jean Ashworth and Rosemary Jones in attendance at Hollingworth Lake Visitor centre.
The Mayor planted a tree to formally launch the group. There was activities, tombola, face painting and bulb planting as well as the opportunity to look round the centre.
Visitors were treated to potato pie and red cabbage, or homemade cheese pie, in the cafe area.
Councillor Ashworth said: "Really well done to the Friends of Hollingworth Lake for everything you do and many thanks for a lovely day."
