Fixtures and fittings removed from Karen Danczuk's former deli

Date published: 02 October 2015

The fixtures and fittings have been cleared out of Karen Danczuk's former deli, Danczuk's Deli, latterly renamed Claire's Cafe, in Rochdale town centre following notice from the owner of the premises.

Mrs Danczuk's sister, Claire, was seen supervising two men removing the fixtures and fittings and loading them into a van yesterday (Thursday 1 October). The van was subsequently spotted unloading at Mrs Danczuk's bungalow just off Kingsway.

It is understood that following an exchange of letters between Mrs Danczuk's solicitors, Molesworths Bright Clegg of Rochdale, and the property owner's solicitors, Ramsdens of Huddersfield, Mrs Danczuk was given notice to remove the fixture and fittings.

Mrs Danczuk's estranged husband, Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk, who was photographed kissing a new girlfriend in London this week, was at the couple's bungalow as the goods were unloaded, leaving just after 7.30pm.

Earlier this year, Steven Butterfield, the owner of 4-6 The Walk, obtained a County Court Judgment (CCJ) for £2045.32 plus £217 costs against Mrs Danczuk for for non payment of rent.

Mrs Danczuk, having personally signed a five year lease for the property in October 2013, remains liable for the rent arrears which have continued to accumulate at the rate of £2,000 per quarter.

It is understood Mrs Danczuk's solicitors have been negotiating on her behalf to agree a settlement with Mr Butterfield.
