Body of woman found in boot of a car
Lee Nolan has been charged with murder after the body of a woman was found in the boot of a car in Heywood.
Nolan (31/03/1967), of Bamford Road, Heywood, has been charged with murder and remanded into custody to appear before Bury Magistrates Court on Monday 17 August 2015.
Shortly after 7:35pm on Thursday 13 August 2015, police were called with information that the body of a woman was in the boot of a blue Nissan NX100 in Heywood.
The following day at around 3:50pm, a car fitting a similar description of the vehicle was seen on Claybank Street and was pursued by police before being abandoned on nearby River Street.
A 48-year-old and a 70-year-old man were detained and, after the body of a woman was found in the boot of the car, they were arrested on suspicion of murder.
The 70-year-old man was later released without charge and no further action will be taken against him.
