Councillor Donna Martin, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “We are very proud of the excellent results achieved by our students this year.
"It is encouraging to see a significant increase in the number of young people taking A-levels in the borough and it’s especially rewarding to see our best performing students buck the national trend by increasing the number of A*- A results they achieved compared to last year.
"This promises well for the future and shows that Rochdale is continuing to raise achievement and expectations for all young people.”
