NADRA surgery helps with 128 applications

Date published: 17 June 2015

A NADRA surgery that took place in Castlemere Community Centre, Rochdale on Sunday 14 June dealt with 128 applications for National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

NICOP cards are issued to the overseas Pakistanis for 10 years and act like a visa - Pakistanis can travel with their British passports.

For the past four years, these NADRA surgeries have benefitted thousands of Pakistanis and Kashmiris including elders, disabled, people who are suffering from illnesses and single parents with small children.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE and Hafiz Abdulmalik said: “We are thankful to Dr Zahoor Ahmed, Consul General of Pakistan Manchester, and Sohail Malik, manager of the NADRA team and staff for their continued support.

“Giving up their Sunday when they are supposed to be with their families is a great contribution and commitment to serve the community. We are thankful to them."
