A ‘Pop up Charity Art Exhibition’ in The Royal Exchange Shopping Centre, is raising money for the Rochdale Children's Moorland Home.
Between Monday 1 and Saturday 6 June visitors are being asked to give a donation.
The donations Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home currently need are:
- Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, shower gels/soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes (suitable for children between 5-11)
- Clothing for boys and girls aged between 5-11 years old: socks, boxers, knickers, vests
Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home is a registered Charity which receives no statutory funding and provides holidays in a healthy environment for over 300 children every year. The home attempts to meet all the children's needs.
To continue to provide holidays for young children, which the home has done for over 120 years, operational costs approaching £60,000 annually need to be met.
A spokesperson said: "We remain reliant on the generosity of those who access our facilities in addition to the generous support we receive from our donors. Contributions are vital for our continued sustainability."
