Pilsworth Road due to reopen on Friday
Date published: 25 February 2015
Pilsworth Road, Heywood is due to reopen on Friday (27 February) if work to the road goes according to plan.
The road has had to be resurfaced and the bollard has had to be replaced following a fuel spillage on Monday (23 February).
Rochdale Council now aim to have the road re-open for drivers on Friday at the earlierst but this could be delayed due to technical aspects.
If the opening is delayed, the road will reopen over the weekend.
A HGV lorry spilt its fuel line after colliding with the rising bollards on Monday morning. This caused fuel to spill down the road.
