Red-Aid took part in a fundraising event at Morrisons supermarket in Rochdale on Saturday (25 January).

Over forty Redwood School staff, students, parents and friends helped to raise £1,000 bag packing over eight hours at the store.

Red-Aid is a new charity based in Rochdale to help young people up to the age of nineteen with learning needs or disabilities and to support their parents and carers above and beyond what the council or services can provide.

A spokesperson said: "We are grateful for the support of our fantastic fundraising team and volunteers and would like to thank Morrisons for giving us this opportunity.

"We are keen to emphasise that once a working amount has been raised it will be accessible to anyone whose child or young person resides within the Rochdale borough and has a statement of special needs."

If you would like to donate you can give by text. Text RED10£ followed by the amount you want to donate (between £1-10) to 70070.
