The Rotary Club of Middleton have awarded a grant of £400 to Middleton Youth Band.
Rotarian John Brooker and Rotarian Jeff Lawton from the Rotary Club of Middleton attended the Middleton Band Awards evening on Saturday 19th July and enjoyed an excellent evening of music played by both the Senior Band and the Youth Band.
John Brooker had the pleasure of presenting Jamie Wade and the Middleton Youth Band with the cheque. John said, “Jamie and his colleagues provide great musical opportunities for the young people of Middleton by loaning instruments free of charge and providing free tuition. The Rotary Club of Middleton takes great pleasure in supporting such a worthwhile organisation.”
The cash awarded was raised during the annual Father Christmas Float collections and is offered via the Rotary Club’s Dragon’s Den initiative which will be launching again in September.
