Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team (RPMRT) assisted the HART team at Hollingworth Lake where a young girl had fallen from an embankment. Then the team were called to assist a male in a wheelchair who had toppled from a road falling several feet.

RPMRT is a registered charity (Number 508209) made up entirely of volunteers and is reliant on donations to keep the team running.

Recently, 42 brave supporters who took it upon themselves to help raise money for the team by abseiling down the side of Peel Tower. Amazingly 12 of them even went down facing forwards! The early indications are that the abseil raised in the region of £2,700.

RPMRT is called out by and work alongside Lancashire Constabulary, Greater Manchester Police, North West Ambulance Service, and Lancashire and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Services, as well as helping out neighbouring teams as requested.
