Kingsway Park High School
Date published: 09 July 2014
Kingsway Park High School students recently visited Rochdale Town Hall to listen to a speech commemorating the centenary of WWI.
They had interesting discussions and gained a valuable insight into how spying plays a key role in the war for both sides of the conflict.
After the speech students visited the nearby war memorial to look at how fallen soldiers are remembered. An interesting day was enjoyed by all students who behaved impeccably.
This term The Reading Zone from Kingsway Park High School, enjoyed another visit to Waterstones in Manchester.
The students spent time looking through the books, eventually picking their favourite before spending some time in the café enjoying their new reads.
The students were also lucky enough to visit the newly refurbished Manchester Central Library browsing and experiencing the interactive activities available.
The experience was finished off by a trip around Manchester Art Gallery.
