Wheatsheaf Centre bridge link removed
Date published: 20 March 2014
The first stages of the town centre redevelopment demolition were completed this morning (Thursday 20 March) with the bridge link to the Wheatsheaf Centre being removed.
The removal of the Bridge Link is to make way for a new entrance for the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre as part of the town centre redevelopment plans which are currently ongoing throughout the town centre.
Surrounding roads were closed yesterday evening (Wednesday 19 March) and throughout the early hours of this morning to allow the demolition to be completed.
The demolition of the Black Box and the old Bus station is currently in its early stages.
