Rotary announce awards for local causes

The Rotary Club of Middleton raised over £6,500 through their Father Christmas Float
The Rotary Club of Middletonhas announced the awards from their record making fund raising initiative during Christmas and the results from their Dragon's Den initiative.
The successful community groups are the Middleton Cricket Club, St Michael’s Uniformed Groups, Middleton Youth Band, Middleton Popstars Academy, Medequip4kids, The Croft Community Garden Society, Higher Tonge Over 50s Club, Home-Start, Middleton Gymnastics Club, The Angel Project, Status-4-All, Middleton Trampolining Club, Middleton Archaeological Society and Middleton Colts.
Lee Wolf, Chairman of the Community Service Committee, said: “We raised a record breaking amount during December of over £6,500 and now these funds will be distributed to help the many local causes who applied for grants during our ‘Dragon’s Den’ forums late last year.”
The Rotary Club of Middleton will present the successful applicants with their funding awards over the coming weeks.
The awards were decided by the Rotary Community Service Committee and ratified by the Rotary Council.
