The trial of six men who are accused of murdering Khruam Shaikh in Sri Lanka two years ago has been adjourned until March 2014.
Sampath Chandra Pushpa and five others are charged with the murder
of Khuram, from Milnrow, on Christmas Day in 2011.
A notice was issued to eleven jury members asking them to appear in court on 26 March when the case is due to begin. Khruam’s Russian girlfriend Victoria Aleksandrovna, who was sexually assaulted on the night of the murder, has also been asked to appear in court.
The six men have been granted bail by the Colombo High Court based on bail that was granted by the Tangalle Magistrate’s Court earlier.
