Members of the local community have supported the Rochdale Environmental Action Group
Members of the local community supported the Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) in their latest clean up effort.
REAG were joined by volunteers from the Deeplish Community Centre, including manager Sohail Ahmed, and the World Mission Society Church of God to clean areas in Deeplish.
As well as cleaning the area, the group spent time talking to local businesses, organisations and the community about the work that they do.
REAG is currently working with Incredible Edibles, Rochdale in Bloom, Matthew Moss High School and other organisations to develop projects for planting vegetables, fruit trees and flowers to further improve the environment.
Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Secretary of REAG, said: "I appeal to everyone in the Borough of Rochdale to join in making this town a beautiful and flowery town."
